This blog is due to reader requests for more info on Juices and Live foods..and to prevent you wasting your money on equipment and produce.
THE WEEK BEFORE YOU BEGIN A CLEANSE, start by incorporating 70% MORE raw very fibrous vegetables to your diet, raw cabbages, bean sprouts, own sprouted beans and legumes..eat them with a simple dressing of fresh lemon juice, do not add salt nor any oils to the vegetables and cut down on all fats and oils (the reason for the fibrous vegetables is to begin the removal of food build-up from your intestinal tract, so when you do being the flushes, they WILL be absorbed by the stomach & intestinal linings more efficiently and you WILL feel the benefit sooner).
(ALSO WHEN YOU BEGIN ANY JUICING..ALWAYS CHEW THE MOUTHFULS RATHER THAN JUST SWALLOWING .. YOU SHOULD ALSO CHEW GLASSES OF WATER AND GET MORE BENEFIT/FASTER TO PREVENT DEHYDRATION).
Chewing juices/liquids produces more saliva which begins to break down the nutrients in the mouth and then they are absorbed right into the blood stream rather than being destroyed by stomach acid, or the body having to break down the vegetable-fruit juice absorbing into bloodstream from stomach and intestines.
There you go then better Eating 101.
THE BASIC'S
When preparing water to drink (yes it is better prepared)
pour it into a large glass jug or jar and leave it covered on a bright window sill or outside, so that it may soak up the healing energy of the sun (it doesn't matter if it's a cloudy day the rays still penetrate).
You may also add some washed dried or fresh fruit or organic edible flowers to add live nutrients, and flavors.
Also just leave in natural light for maximum of 12 hours before drinking, and drink at room temp.
NOT ICE COLD.
Natural organic juices: (fruit and vegetable)
These help to create balance in the body and are our most natural supply of organic water.
They are much more beneficial when eaten as the whole fruit or vegetable (added fiber).
Juicing helps to nourish depleted bodies back to health, and help in cleansing the body's systems and inner workings, but it has to be remembered that juices are a concentrated food source and must be respected.
DO NOT DRINK YOUR JUICES LIKE WATER
Allow the juice to mix with your saliva (which is where GOOD digestion begins), in the mouth and chew, like it was whole food.
If you drink it like water or too fast you will lose a lot of the benefits and will overload the kidneys and bladder.
Use only RIPE fruit and vegetables and ref. organic (pref.) seasonal to your area.
Supplement the juice ingredients with wheat grass, algae, beansprouts, wild edible flowers and weeds, kelp and grass powders.
PREPARE THE JUICE/LIVER CLEANSE/SMOOTHIE and drink immediately do NOT keep in the fridge for later.
WASH AND AIR DRY ALL FRUIT AND VEGETABLES, 2 HOURS BEFORE CONSUMING, THIS INCLUDES MELONS ALL CITRUS AND BANANAS!!
RECIPES:LIVER FLUSHES
These are better done, ONCE either at the end of the month or the beginning and do not over do this as it can cause problems with digestion.
There is another reason that they do not taste pleasant..they are to maintain health NOT replace juicing.
