Here's a nice little menu for Fall, at long last, temps are falling in Los Angeles after 5 months of intense heat.
We now have cool and wonderful days with evenings still with crickets chirping!
Beet and apple soup..this is great for anyone who "hates" beets but loves apples.
Baby organic beets cooked in vegetable stock and apple juice with cinnamon and bay laurel. This can be finished with plain yogurt.
Pumpkin and Yam soup..a hearty blended soup, with carrots, onions, garlic and thyme
A Roasted Fall Vegetable Melange: butternut squash, purple onion, yams, potatoes also added steamed green beans, grape seed oil & ground cumin and finished with organic wildflower honey. Served with wholewheat couscous.
German Style potato salad with mustard, mayonnaise and yogurt
Fresh fruit salad with honey crisp apples, raspberries, bananas and oranges
( I am also making a Fish pie for a client who has just had oral surgery) that will be featured on www.chorleycakes.blogspot.com
