German Chocolate Cake Frosting; Semi-sweet chocolate frosting; Cocoa-buttermilk Frosting, marmalade glaze and many others..Vegan-Vegetarian RECIPES!
All these recipes can be converted into Vegan by using Vegan Margarine, chocolate chips and nut milks
German Chocolate Frosting:
This is so much tastier and better than anything you can buy ready made, and better when made with unsalted butter anyway.

In a mixing bowl"
beat 3 large egg yolks with 1 1/3 cups cane sugar, over simmering water for 3 mins.
add 1 1/3 cups evaporated evaporated milk and 1/2 cup melted butter.
Stir in 2 cups flaked coconut & 1 cup chopped walnuts/pecans
Frost
Semi-sweet Chocolate Frosting:
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 tbsp butter
2 cups powdered sugar
4-6 tbsp milk
Melt the chips and butter in a heavy based saucepan, over low heat.
Remove and gently beat in the powdered sugar, add enough milk to make a spreadable frosting
Cocoa-Buttermilk Frosting
1/2 cup butter
6 tbsp sweetened hot chocolate powder
6 tbsp buttermilk
4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp vanilla
makes enough for 2 trays brownies/2 cakes
melt butter in a sauce pan, add the hot chocolate powder, and buttermilk;
cook and stir to boiling.
remove from heat beat in powdered sugar add walnuts and vanilla extract.
Frost
Marmalade Glaze for one 9 x 9 brownie pan
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 tbsp marmalade
2 tbsp softened butter
Blend together
Add enough milk to make a spreading consistency
Coffee Glaze for one 9 x9 brownie pan
2 tsp instant coffee
2 tsp milk
dissolve the coffee in the milk
Stir in 3/4 cup powdered sugar and enough milk to make a spreadable consistency
Chocolate Brandy Frosting
4 tbsp softened butter
2 cups powdered sugar
beat together
Blend in:
2 tbsp chocolate liqueur
2 tbsp brandy or more to make a spreadable consistency
Spice Frosting..this is also fantastic on Pumpkin breads and pies
Mix together
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground coriander
OR 3 tsp Pumpkin spice mix
4 tbsp softened butter
Blend in 2 cups powder sugar and either the spice mix of the pumpkin spice and enough milk ( 4 tbsp) to a spreadable consistency.
