Clean your silver cutlery without harsh chemicals using just aluminum foil, baking soda and boiling water.
Also prevents "polish flavors" being left on cutlery.
This also works on small silver salvers and silver cruet sets/toast racks.

| lay a sheet of aluminum foil in a glass ovenproof dish, top it with baking soda |

| Lay on top the tarnished cutlery..this hasn't been cleaned in 2 years ( Downton Abbey is on TV so I got inspired) |

| Cover with boiling water..and hey Presto the tarnish vanishes..chemical reaction safe on hands though...turn the silver over so it cleans the back. Remove from the hot water and wash in mild soapy hot water. |

Once the cutlery has been removed and you have more cutlery to clean use a new piece of foil and baking soda, once the water cools it is no longer active.
