RECIPE ..YOGI TEA..keeps you warm all year..and the ingredients are in your spice rack
YOGI TEA
Here is the centuries old recipe, with ingredients that can be found in a kitchen spice rack.
This recipe makes 10 cups.
Once made and strained it can be served hot or cold..store sealed in the fridge or cold, dark place.
6 inches ginger root cut in thin slices (no need to peel) or 2 tbsp ground ginger
8 cardamon pods
20 black peppercorns
15 cloves
6 cinnamon sticks
3 star anise (optional)
3 tsp red pepper flakes or 1 tsp cayenne pepper
in a large pot, cover well with 12 cups cold filtered water, bring to boil.
Remove from heat and allow to steep for 2 hours.
Strain and serve hot of cold
