Half baked and half baked.. Part 1 ....Photos UP

I am half baked and so is tomorrow's menu!

It is 78f in the shade and I am simmering local grown plums in red wine and oranges for a preserve for later in the year; I made up 48 roasted banana-flax seed, whole wheat extra wheat germ, walnut  sour dough waffles;
I have my lace butterscotch and oatmeal cookies cooling on wire racks..tomorrow it is going to be even hotter ( forecast 80f+ by the ocean) so I will be up at 5am making up my orders for earlier deliveries!

Drying mushrooms for at least 24hours with butternut squashes


ripe Organic Roma tomatoes with parsley and cilantro

over-night dehydration of bananas for waffles and tomatoes for pasta salad..intensifies flavors

add Madeira or sherry to sauteed mushrooms for soup

the plum and orange preserves, began as 20 pounds of fruit!


using the cobs from the fresh sweetcorn for the soup base

the summer squash mix of butternut squash, zucchini, onions, garlic and fresh tomatoes..tomorrow to be topped with cornbread and baked

the waffles are only sweetened with fruit (and 2 tbsp maple syrup per 16)
