A simple salad..for a great eating experience

 Sometimes the best eats are the simple ones:here is a salad that can be made anywhere, with just basic ingredients and no fuss.

Cabbage & Herb Salad..4 side salads 2 main course salads ( a little goes along way, coarsely chop)


1/2 a green cabbage, stem removed and chopped ( how fine depends on you)
1 bunch fresh tender herbs - parsley, (or one of these cilantro, mint, basil etc.)
1/2 cup vinegar..your choice
3 ribs celery chopped
nuts, seeds and dried fruit of choice or availability
1/4 cup olive oil ( a good one)
sea salt
Ground black pepper


in a large bowl, add the cabbage, celery, and 1/2 the vinegar..mix well and allow to marinate for 30 mins.

Add the chopped herbs and nuts, seeds and fruit,olive oil and check the seasonings and flavor before adding more vinegar, mix well and serve, you may also serve this on salad greens, but honestly it is great by itself.

The flavor from the Parsley is fresh and clean
from Basil is warming and spicy
from Cilantro is highly fragrant and earthy
from mint is cool and refreshing

enjoy and make the most of Cabbages and their respective family members, and serve them at least 3  times a a week, they fight cancer; keep your digestion running smooth & calm; and keep you younger looking, ... these are well known facts.
