This sourdough starter is over 8years old made from the skin of an organic own grown apple ( apple tree is long gone now).
Sourdough bread has to be treated different from reg. loaves:
The bread takes longer to prove and has to be a rather wetter mix.
Also bake in a steam filled oven and unlike most breads..it is better dried out overnight.
Sourdough is NOT a bread to eat warm just out of the oven..it has to mature overnight.
