Not all Greens are Cabbages, and not all Cabbages are Green, Photo selections, air drying after being plunged into fresh cold running water from local market for Monday's Menu

Green beans, corn and carrots for the 2 ragouts, one with cream and the other with Serrano chili's and okra; Broccoli crowns for the roasted broccoli with ginger soy dressing and steamed rice;Red cabbage for the spicy slaw also with Serrano chili and baked White Mexican squash

Fresh limes, fresh peaches for the tomato, peach and feta cheese salad; fresh okra & Serrano chili's for the spicy ragout; Scallions for the slaw, Mexican White Squash for the Summer ragout with cream and the slaw.

just a 1/4 of this year's home grown tomatoes for the ragouts and salads

Fresh big carrots and zucchini for the soup

Close up of the fresh okra and Serrano chili's..these are long, green and skinny and very hot spice, along with field ( dark green) celery.

Mexican white squash is a lighter and more tender version  of zucchini squash and as you can see, it bruises easily, which thankfully does not alter the flavor, with fresh cilantro for the spicy slaw, and spicy ragout.
