Frosted Mocha & Brazilian Float 2 grown-up alternatives to the old milkshake

These are ideal as any party drinks..either a hot summer brunch or a late afternoon cooler....these are not the commercial sugary sweet things..these are own made delights with a 50 year pedigree.

Frosted Mocha serves 6-8

4 cups cold,  strong brewed, coffee
1 cup sweetened hot cocoa mix/hot chocolate powder or syrup
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon or cinnamon sticks
4 cups cold milk (nut milk is fine)
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup brandy, whisky, bourbon, dark rum (optional)

Pour the strong cold coffee into ice cube trays or freezer trays the day before...along with the glasses it is to be served in
When ready to serve:

Blend the milk, ground cinnamon (if using cinnamon sticks place on in each glass)  and cocoa mix ,brandy (until smooth)...pour into a large jug.
Whip cream to stiff peaks, and fold into the milk mixture.
Add a few cubes of the frozen coffee to each glass and pour over the chocolate milk.
Serve immediately.

Brazilian Float..Great for watching the World Cup..serves 4
8 ozs dark chocolate, grated
2 cups milk (again nut milk is fine)
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups very strong ( double strength) brewed coffee
1/2 cup brandy, whisky, bourbon, dark rum (optional)
1 pint good coffee ice cream

Combine the grated chocolate, milk and sugar in a saucepan and heat slowly until chocolate melts, and sugar dissolves.
Whisk in the hot coffee to make it foamy, add the alcohol &  then chill for 2 hours.

To serve pour into 4 tall glasses and float a scoop of coffee ice cream on top
