SIMPLE SUNFLOWER SEED LOAF..a healthy alternative to meatoaf

all my own grown sunflowers


1 1/2 cups raw sunflower seeds ..ground in a herb grinder or mortar and pestle
3/4 cup raw sesame seeds also ground
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 cup grated carrots or beets
3 tbsp chopped onion
2large eggs beaten
1tbsp cider vinegar
2 tsp lemon juice

1/2 cup diced celery
1 cup minced parsley
sea salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
hot sauce (optional)
1 tbsp chopped fresh sage or 2 tsp  dried sage (or herbs of choice)

PREHEAT OVEN 325F MIDDLE SHELF



Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
Turn into an oiled casserole or baking dish and bake 40 mins uncovered.

Remove from oven and cool slightly.
Serve  warm, in slices.



VARIATIONS:

add mashed cooked beans


add grated cheese
