Vegetable Couscous, Lentil Pilaf, Mushroom and black bean burger mix; peanut butter cookies with roasted cashews and banana chips..PHOTOS AND INFO

Hello readers in 104 countries, we are having Odd weather here in Los Angeles. Right now winds are blowing off the Mojave Desert and the temp in my back garden is 80F!

My Spring Bulbs are confused as they are now flowering..2 months early, and we are Praying for rain which everyone else seems to be getting.

The Menu for tomorrow is a very varied affair, plus I have a special order for peanut butter cookies for Children's Hospital LA.
( the recipe is on this blog and I will be adding more photos from today's baking).
The bread is  flax seed sour dough with almonds and apricots..here are photos and info of my progress today despite the heat:

The blackbean and mushroom burger mix
Sauteing the onions, garlic and mushrooms for the burger mix before adding processed cooked black beans, spices and breadcrumbs

Vegetable soup with brown rice

Previous 6 the vegetables and lentils for the rice pilaf..reminds me of the original kidgeree which is the forerunner to kedgeree..it is very important that you cook well any imported ground spices, to kill off any bacteria

Sauteed vegetables  for the couscous mix, this is wonderful as it is but this week I am also serving it with sauteed chicken breast strips

Steamed whole wheat couscous

The peanut butter cookies with roasted cashews and banana chips batter

Mine are bigger than the recipe so I flattened them more so they would bake in 10 mins
