To all my readers worldwide..

The tragic loss of life and injuries to innocent people on my, Venice Boardwalk DOES NOT, in anyway,  reflect the heart  & soul of the loving Southern Californian people...who are still in a state of shock and disbelief as to what happened on Saturday.

This is and was an isolated, horrific accident/incident

I want to assure anyone considering canceling their upcoming plans to visit, over the next few months, to reconsider.

Venice California is a much safer city than this has portrayed.
It has beautiful quiet walk streets and bustling markets and shops.
Venice is and always has been, a thriving artist and young people's city.

I understand that through this tragedy Local City Driving Laws will be changed, and sidewalks and the Boardwalk itself will become MUCH, safer still.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and families those directly affected by the actions of this driver..some of whom are still in hospital, and some that will never see their family again.

Such an awful thing to happen in a place known for such fun and happiness..the beach.
I am so very sorry,
Sincerely, John Nigel, Los Angeles, California
